The "List"
Smethwick has over 40 listed buildings and structures within the town. Some are related to bygone industry and the canal networks and others are of historical or architectural significance. This gallery will eventually be populated with images and historical/technical information relating to all of these structures.
Descriptions that accompany each image are the Statutory Descriptions as recorded against each listing. These are available from Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council's Catalogue of Listed Buildings in Smethwick and are reproduced here with kind approval of Conservation Officers.
These images are included in a forthcoming book containing images of the Listed Buildings of Smethwick.
The First 50 copies of this book will be a limited edition 10×8 inches (25×20 centimeters) hardback with dust cover priced at £30 plus postage and packing and will be available to purchase through this site in the Autumn.
